Barn-A-Break Volunteers
Barn-A-Break offers campers a break from everyday life through weekends at camp two times a year. The program seeks to offer this mini-camp experience to give encouragement and rest for families and strengthen the camper’s connection to camp. To make this possible, as we do in our summer program, we rely on our incredible volunteers to staff this weekend. In return, they have access to even more life-changing opportunities.
Barn-A-Break volunteers include past summer staff or volunteers and new volunteers who may not have the opportunity to take a week off of work to come to summer camp. All volunteers undergo training before the campers arrive to better equip them to meet the special needs of their campers. Volunteer positions include counselors who work one-on-one with the campers, cabins mom or dads, kitchen help, and nurses.
