Feb 15, 2023 | Summer Camp Theme
We'll explore the story of Moses and the Israelites and their quest from slavery to freedom in the Promise Land. As we dig deeper into the Bible, we'll discover God's direction and provision throughout their entire journey.
In case you need even more reasons to get you excited about this summer, we've got three incredible new camp updates...
The Farm
Question: Why does a chicken coup only have two doors? Because if it had four it would be called a chicken sedan! Bwack Bwack Bwack. Ok ok, but the big announcement here is we have chickens again! AND new this year, a miniature cow. Can we get a collective "Awwwww"?
The Lake
Who knew bathrooms would make an announcement page? These new bathrooms are just that great! Not to mention they are conveniently located for arrival line usage as well! You can call that a two-for-one lake special. Also, new this year at the lake: the Legendary Albino Catfish made a few new friends…about 70 to be exact! This year we thought we’d add to the fishing adventures with 70 young largemouth bass and a whole second dock.
Yeti Adventure
We’ve had an increase in Yeti sightings in the woods, and we will be leaning hard into what our conservation friends have been teaching us. Apparently, the only way to get rid of these pesky critters is to get an army truck, load it full of Campers, and use an excessive amount of paintballs to ‘encourage’ our pesky friends to move along! ***Don’t worry, our paintball guns will be specifically outfitted to not hurt the Yetis-just spook them into leaving camp.
Campers ages 7 and up with disabilities and chronic illnesses are invited to this unforgettable Summer of Quest 2023. Volunteer Missionaries and groups from across the country join us to serve in the role of Counselors, Barnstormers, Med Team Members, and Cabin Parents.
We can't wait to see how God will move at Camp Barnabas in 2023!
