Restoring Hope at Camp Barnabas

Attention local Missionaries and Staff: we are looking for 60+ volunteers to be paired with individuals with disabilities for a fun-filled day at Camp Barnabas. Join us Saturday, September 7 from 8 am-4:30 pm for a day of swimming at the Water Park, sports at the dome, game room activities, lunch in the new Dining Hall, and fun at the lake.

Volunteers ages 15 and up will support individuals with disabilities who are receiving services from Restoring Hope. Each volunteer will be paired with a participant to provide the necessary assistance based on their specific needs, which may include help with daily activities like eating and hygiene assistance with support from a staff member. Volunteers will ensure a safe and enjoyable environment where individuals with disabilities can fully participate in all camp activities. Meanwhile, their caregivers will attend the Restoring Hope Conference at camp, where speakers will discuss behavioral topics, effective caregiving practices, and raising individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

The cost is free and lunch is provided! Volunteers can also receive 8.5 volunteer hours.

Bring a swimsuit, towel, sunscreen, and a change of clothes.
