As we enter the Thanksgiving season, we want you to know how deeply grateful we are for your presence within the Barnabas family. This newsletter is filled with how God has been at work at Camp Barnabas this fall. Whether you're a Camper, a Missionary, a member of our Med Team and Summer Staff, or a beloved Barnabas family member, your connection with us is a source of immense joy and thanks.

While you gather with your loved ones around the table adorned with turkey, steaming vegetables, and warm rolls, take a moment to express your gratitude for them. Know that we can't wait to gather with you this coming summer over a warm plate of blueberry fluff, a steaming bowl of orange chicken, or a cool glass of juice with Fred the Moose. Until then, our bond remains unbroken, and our hearts stay connected in the spirit of Barnabas.

Campers, Missionaries, and Staff gathered for the "Creation Celebration" at Fall Barnabreak in October. The theme verse from Psalm 19, "The heavens proclaim the glory of God, the skies display his craftsmanship," came to life in the crisp autumn air, the vibrant fall foliage, the star-studded night skies, and the warmth of our connections around the crackling campfire. From the Wild Wilderness dance party to the excitement of pumpkin smashing and the thunderous praise for our Camper stars at the talent show, we're thankful to be together one more time before the coming winter months. With continuing thanks, we celebrated our most successful Glamping fundraiser event this fall. It was an evening made possible by our incredible Presenting Sponsors, Peter and Jan Herschend, and the unwavering support of countless others. Under a star-studded night at Big Cedar Lodge, we enjoyed festive live music, ax-throwing, friendly lawn games, and a savory dinner. But it was the powerful stories of transformation, the tales of how Camp Barnabas and Barnabas Prep are truly changing lives through disability ministry, that stole the spotlight and stirred our souls.

We came together to celebrate the work that God is accomplishing through Barnabas, all while rallying to provide essential scholarships for our Campers and Students. The opportunity to contribute to our scholarship fund remains open. Join us by donating to our scholarship fund here.

We are on the hunt for passionate Summer Staff who unite to craft an unforgettable summer for our Campers. Whether it's leading our cabins through a week of camp adventures, whipping up delicious meals in our kitchen, perfecting The Robot on the dance floor, guiding Campers up the accessible rockwall, or capturing camp life in engaging weekly videos and photos; we offer paid staff and intern positions that cater to a variety of strengths. Summer Staff jobs and internships are for a half or full summer and are open to high school graduates and up. Save the date, January 5-7, for our Winter Staff Retreat at camp. Even in the quiet of the off-season, the heartbeat of camp life never stops. In collaboration with our full-time staff, our Barnabas Leadership Academy students crafted a spectacular Fall Barnabreak and volunteered for our Glamping Fundraiser. Academy students also participate in ongoing Bible training and personal growth studies. Our BLA students are not only honing their leadership skills but are also nurturing and amplifying their unique gifts and talents. Applications are open for our Aspostle leadership program, a three-week journey serving Campers, Role Models, and Sibling Campers, providing them with support, care, and a sense of belonging. You'll shadow various Summer Staff and Directors, engage in enriching activities, and enjoy valuable community time with fellow Apostles. Because this is a three-week program as a Missionary, the investment to participate is $800. Apply to be an Apostle.
