It’s no secret that the Barnabas dance party is consistently the most popular party year to year. If you’ve ever been to one of our dance parties, you know they are like no other.
Over the years, many songs have come and gone from our dance party playlists, but there are a select few that have been elevated to the status of “Barnabas Dance Classics.” Here are the ones that made the list:
This absolute has been our encore track for the past 4 years. It’s guaranteed to close the party on a high note with its momentous drops, making it very deserving of a top 10 spot.
After a solid rookie season, this club remix puts a whole new level of energy into a party classic. With the warm reception it received last year, we can see this one lasting a while and even being put in the coveted “encore” spot.
Bird Machine became an unexpected classic with its use of unconventional noises and catchy beats. Dancing like a bird has never been so cool.
Whether you loved or hated this song upon release, you can’t deny its longevity as a pop staple. This has been on our playlists since it’s release and we don’t see it going anywhere anytime soon. Now, if we could just get all the words to Ludacris’s verse correct…
While One Direction’s career as a group may have been short lived, it’s impact on our dance parties will be much longer lasting. Just one of many songs by them that could have made this list, Zayn’s high note will keep this song soaring above the rest.
Maybe it’s the nostalgia, or the fact that the chorus tells us what to do, but this song seems to never fail at a Barnabas Dance Party. As long as it gets the crowd reaction that it does, it will be a mainstay on our playlists.
Possibly one of the best pop songs ever created and the subject of one of the few line dances exclusive to Camp Barnabas, Call Me Maybe is here to stay.
Is it a coincidence that the Jonas Brothers got back together after we tirelessly played this song for 10 years? We think not. Campers, missionaries and staff love this song and we think it will be that way forever.
With its infectious line dance, Hot Cheetos and Takis is a song that is guaranteed to get the party going. After being almost over-played the past couple years, it’s safe to say this is deserving of the Number 2 spot.
How could this not be Number 1? Rumors are that this song has played at every dance party since 2004, by far our longest lasting song. This song is Christian Pop-Punk perfection and it’s even ABOUT a dance party. Forever our second to last song, this is the Barnabas Dance Classic.
